All books in the Library are arranged by class number (Dewey classification). Class numbers are derived from the subject area of the item and so all books on a certain topic should be located in the same area in the Library. For example, Human Resource Management is classified as 658.3 and so all general items on this topic will be found together at that shelf space.
All the information you need to locate an item in the Library can be found on the Library Catalogue. When using the catalogue you should take note of the following information:
Location: This is the bay where the item's is shelved.
Shelved at / Class: This is the item’s class number, i.e. where it is shelved.
Status: This tells you if the book is on loan or available in the Library.
